Craniosacral Therapy

Ailbhe Murphy

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a form of bodywork that uses light touch (no massage or manipulation) and holds that are anatomically specific. By approaching touch in a way that is trauma-informed, BCST has also been found very beneficial for individuals living with anxiety, PTSD, burnout, and chronic stress. If the body has become a painful, foreign, scary, or unpleasant place, BCST aims to rebuild a feeling of safety in your physiology, helping you come back into a positive relationship with your body.

I trained as a BCST at Body College under the tutelage of Steve Haines and Jane Shaw. I currently work as a tutor at Body College helping to train new craniosacral therapists as well as seeing clients privately in Hackney London. I do not prescribe a fixed amount of sessions – this needs to be determined on an individual basis and in collaboration with you, the client. However, as a therapeutic modality, cranio is best appreciated when it is approached as a journey/form of body psychology. It strives towards paced, long-lasting healing rather than temporary relief. When dealing with a particular concern, people will generally come weekly/fortnightly initially and then reduce to once a month as maintenance.
£70/per session
